3/4 cup yellow cornmeal
1/4 cup sugar
1/2 tsp salt
2 tsp baking powder
1 cup milk

1/2 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
3 tbsp chives 3 to 4 tbsp – chopped chives or green onions
